Tap your starting pitch, then sing the notes in order. Every pitch relates back to it — and any octave counts.
1 · FIND — sing each note until it’s right, then move on.
2 · LOCK — sing each note, and when you’re sure you have it, tap Lock to score it and move on.
3 · TIMED — four clicks count you in, then follow the light. It moves note to note; sing the one that’s glowing.
After a take, tap any note to hear it beside the correct pitch.
🎵 SOLFÈGE SAYS — an ear game. Listen to a short pattern, then tap the pitches back on the ladder, in order. Any octave counts \u2014 low Do or high Do both work. Every round adds one note; one miss ends the game. Your best ears-only score is saved.
🎤 TEST MIC — check the app can hear you before you sing.
Use your phone’s microphone or wired headphones — Bluetooth adds delay.
Every pitch has a home. In a key, each note means something because of where it sits against Do. Singers who hear Sol as “the fifth above home” can find it anywhere, in any key — they aren’t memorising pitches, they’re hearing relationships.
That is why you start from Do. Tap the starting pitch, let it settle in your ear, and measure every note against it. The app listens to which syllable you sing, not which octave — so a low voice and a high voice are judged on the same thing: the relationship.
Find, then Lock, then Timed. Find lets you search until you land the note. Lock asks you to commit before you’re scored. Timed takes away the extra time, the way real singing does. Each step removes a little support.
Solfège Says trains the other direction. Instead of singing what you see, you name what you hear — and remember it as it grows. Ears only, one note longer each round: that is the inner hearing a sight-singer depends on.
A few minutes, often. Short daily practice builds this far faster than one long session a week.
